Inca Trail
The classic route to Machu Picchu on original Inca trails. Duration: 4 days.
Discover the twin Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on an epic adventure for intrepid travelers. Known as "the cradle of gold" in Quechua.
Choquequirao, which in Quechua means "Cradle of Gold", is considered the sacred sister of Machu Picchu. This impressive Inca citadel was one of the last bastions of resistance during the Spanish conquest. Only 30% have been excavated, offering an authentic, crowd-free archaeological experience. The trekking is challenging but the reward of exploring these ruins practically alone is invaluable.
